About John
John’s watercolor works, explores the stillness, atmosphere, and the subtle movement of light. Working on Arches Watercolor paper, he allows pigment and water to settle naturally, embracing unpredictability as part of the process. Each painting is created slowly and intentionally. The work is less about representation and more about presence — a quiet record of observation. Influenced by landscape, architecture, and empty spaces, his compositions invite the viewer to pause and look closely. These works are designed not to overwhelm a room, but to live within it gently.
As a graphite illustrator, my works cover a broad range of subject matter with a quiet confidence in observation and restraint. This practice is rooted in drawing as a discipline—careful line, tonal control, and patience, allowing graphite to move from delicate to deeply worked shadows. The works capture people, places, and objects with equal sensitivity. In my commissioned portrait work, the focus goes beyond likeness. I pay close attention to expression, posture, and the small details that reveal character.
Watercolor works are available for purchase as original paintings and as limited-edition giclée prints. Graphite renderings are available as original works.

About Jasmine
Jasmine is my late mother. Her watercolor collection explores the charm of historic barns and homes through soft washes of color and light. Each painting preserves the textures, angles, and imperfections that give these buildings their soul. The works evoke a sense of calm, history, and connection to place, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate everyday architecture as art. Old barns lean into the wind. Houses settle into the land. These watercolors honor buildings shaped by seasons, work, and family life. The old barn series features cracked boards, crooked doors, and sunlit windows that become portraits of resilience and quiet beauty. Every painting tells a story of time, memory, and home.
Watercolor works are available for purchase as limited-edition giclée prints. Custom print sizes can be requested. 100% of proceeds from the sale of these works, will go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and Lupus Canada.
